I'm about to splurge on the Abercrombie sale but can't afford my entire wish list. Can anyone help me pick from my favourites? I'm 25, size 8, for reference. I'm trying to reinvent my wardrobe as I used to dress quite nice but since having my son I feel I'm always in jeans and sweatshirts.

I'd pick some items that you can still wear years later

my favourites are the button up dress and the bodysuit on the second photo then possibly another dress that you can wear on holidays/in the summer

Ginfilledcats · 27/08/2020 16:31

I agree with pp although lovely sone of those pieces are either 1 wear or very holiday-y.

Love the white button up dress page 1, the body suit and the button dress on the 2nd page.

Skort is awful!

PerditaProvokesEnmity · 27/08/2020 17:45

Heavens! Don't you feel the cold?Grin

They seem odd clothes to buy when it'll be winter in the blink of an eye. Are you in the U.K.?

OhRosalind · 27/08/2020 20:11

As pp have said, assuming you’re in the U.K., lot of those items will only be wearable for a few weeks, then by next summer you might fancy something different. So it’s boring but I’d go for things that can transition into autumn - the bodysuit could be paired with a cardigan/shirt and jeans, or the brown button dress could be worn with tights.

Terralee · 28/08/2020 18:49

The shirt dresses can be worn with tights & boots or trainers in Autumn & are a classic.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 28/08/2020 19:25

I came here to say exactly the same as optimisticpessemistic. They are more classic pieces, and the dress could possibly be worn open over jeans, giving you another look.

dontgobaconmyheart · 29/08/2020 09:07

They're all nice enough but I wouldn't buy any of them to be honest OP. If you're in the UK it's virtually pointless and the prints/colours will date by next spring summer. He button down dress is nice on the model but far too low (for me). I can't imagine wearing it anytime than high summer.

You could add tights/boots to some of them but I don't think that would show them to their best.

Palavah · 29/08/2020 09:12

You can wear the shirt dresses with tights and boots in the autumn.

The slip dress you can layer with a polo neck underneath - at size 8 that look works, but it's hideous on anyone bigger IMO.

The skort is seasonal.

Bow front bodsuit will work with jeans

YellowLellow · 29/08/2020 11:21

I know they're quite summery but my thinking was with tights and boots, but advice taken onboard! I bought the dusty rose shirt dress and the bow bodysuit Smile
