Having lived on a tropical island for the past 5 years, I've recently returned to the UK to find that my wardrobe is seriously out of date. I lived in shorts, flip-flops and Cos summer dresses for work when overseas, and am literally clueless about what to wear in autumn 2020 in a cool climate.
My natural tendency is towards a fairly minimalist style (Cos is a favourite) in mostly neutrals (navy, grey, some black and white) with the odd splash of colour. But I've no idea about style of trousers / jeans (skinny, bootcut, flare, something else?), boots or shoes for autumn and winter, jackets / coats and bags. So just about everything!
I'd like to look reasonably current rather than "high fashion", and moderately stylish, whilst still being comfortable. I work from home part-time in a reasonably senior role - I don't need full on business attire for zoom calls, but like to look smartish. The rest of the time I'm doing school runs with my older DC, and hanging out with my one year old at the park.
Would love advice from any Mumsnetters who are more in the style loop than I am!
