What style of jeans are in now?

I’m ashamed to say I only have skinny jeans which I’ve just read are not flattering. What style should I go for instead?

But do they flatter YOUR figure? (Forget what you've read).
Kate Moss is famous for skinny wearing and looks lovely in them - now imagine her in a pair of baggies!
It's true that hipster teens and twenty-somethings don't wear skinnies any more, but visit almost any city outside of east London or Brighton and you'll still find plenty of stylish young women in very tight jeans.
Personally, I can't even get an average pair of skinnies over my calves and with short legs and heavy thighs, I think the world is better off with me in something slightly more forgiving! Plus looser cuts are SOOO much comfier!

I’m wearing skinnies less and less, I’ve moved to a slim fit but I think anything goes with jeans at the moment.

I've gradually ditched my skinnies for slim and boyfriend cut jeans, but if skinnies work for you then go for it!! Don't worry about what anyone else says is flattering, a big part of what suits you is what makes you feel good:)

Don't believe everything you read. Whether or not skinny jeans are flattering depends on your figure. I'm slim, they flatter me as long as I wear them with boots.

Looser jeans make the legs look chunkier, all the more reasons for curvier ones to wear tighter jeans and skinnier legs look better in loose wide leg jeans. Plus with rainy autumn and winter, skinnies look so much nicer with boots.

I don't think having read that somewhere means they don't flatter you personally OP. They may well look great.

With that said I retired the skinnies a couple of years ago and moved onto slim fit high waist mom jeans, or slim fit straight leg, as the shape is more current. They're far comfier, work very well with my style and wardrobe and I feel reasonably cool in them. I don't find them unflattering bit equally am making a concerted attempt to think critically about why 'flattering' equals 'better' and who that is really for on a core level, and why.
