Help me find a waterproof coat?

I'm now going back to work, my job requires me to get train and walk to work so I'm in need of a stylish waterproof coat/jacket. I don't want a rain mac, I want something with a little but not too much padding. Can anyone help me find one? Under £80 ideally. Thanks!

What do you mean by stylish? There's the very practical, plain black/navy and goes with anything end of the spectrum right through to more edgy Scandi shapes.

Also recommend seasalt. The shorter styles work on a shortie too (lagoon jacket for example) and some have poppers to pull the sleeves in at the wrist which helps shorten them! X

I get my coats from Joules usually, they are pretty good waterproof wise.

This will be my third winter for my seasalt waterproof coat. Still looks impeccable

Helly Hansen do great raincoats - I have the Kirkwall and it’s great.

Another vote for Seasalt. all sorts of styles and they are properly waterproof.

I just bought the reversible Seasalt coat and its great. Also 5ft 2 and a good length. Legs will be kept dry. Its very roomy so go down a size. I actually got it from Outdoor & Country as its reduced to £75.
It has no padding but there's room for a nice cosy jumper under it or a fleece when it gets colder.

I bought this one from Joules last year - I'm not generally a joules fan but wanted something very waterproof for the school run that didn't have a pattern and the Seasalt ones didn't fit me very well, and this has been brilliant. And I love the furry lining, it's very cosy.

They don't seem to have it this year but maybe they have something similar.

There's another make that's always recommended on these threads, but I can't remember it and I'd driving me bloody mad! Is it a Scandinavian make? Not very helpful I know

I've got that Joules Coast one OP, and one with a lovely soft teddy fleece lining too (still the Coast range - don't know if they still do that one). They're both absolutely terrific, I'm out walking my dogs in all weathers and have stayed completely dry.

I'm only 5'1" and the length's great on me.
