Has anyone had it done? Had brow done and really natural and happy with them. Would like some honest advice on the lip blusing technique. Thank You

Interested too! My lips look so meh without a little colour

Monkeytapper · 25/08/2020 16:39

I had mine done at the beginning of the year. Took over an hour and was quite uncomfortable but not painful. Here’s a pic of my lips before, immediately after and then healed. It’s given my lips a fuller shale and I either don’t but anything in them or just a bit of lipgloss

*typos...fuller shape and I either don’t put anything on them

sitckmansladylove · 25/08/2020 16:54

That looks exactly what I wanted. I have such fine lips and love the brows done. Thanks so much

I was pretty confident the lady who did them would do an amazing job as she has done my brows and eyeliner too

How long does it last?

Monkeytapper · 25/08/2020 17:03

2-3 years dependent on how well your lips takes to the pigment

Monkeytapper · 25/08/2020 17:08

Sorry..2-5 years.
I might have a top up in a couple of years so I don’t have to start from scratch when it fades completely.
First couple of days after having it done I looked like I had had fillers, the colour was very vibrant and I was very self conscious, other people didn’t notice but I did....looked like I was wearing very, very bright red lipstick, but it fades after a a week or so, flakes a bit like a normal tattoo does but you moisturise them regularly and leaves a nice subtle colour.

sitckmansladylove · 25/08/2020 18:46

The eyeliner is excellent too ! Thanks monkeytapper

Hmmm... for some reason I had a more “your lips but better” idea in my head, but the result above, while gorgeous, looks a little “done”. Not sure that would be for me - I think I want to look like I’m not wearing makeup, and then have the option to put on lipstick some days. Monkey, you have gorgeous lips, and they do look fuller - did that effect last? When did you get it done?

GhostCurry · 25/08/2020 19:06

Sorry - just seen you said beginning of the year! Really nice result.

Monkeytapper · 25/08/2020 19:57

@GhostCurry......it’s more the shape I’m pleased with rather than the colour, if you look at the bottom pic that’s what it’s like now, lipgloss makes it look more like middle pic.
.
It’s great for now, especially now we are wearing masks so lipstick doesn’t rub off on the inside of it!

GhostCurry · 26/08/2020 19:38

Agree, the shape is fab! Did you choose a colour?
Also - how do you get your teeth so white?!Smile

Monkeytapper · 27/08/2020 19:04

@GhostCurry....the lady who did it recommended what I should go for based on my skin tone which is slightly red.
Thanks for the compliment re my teeth, that’s a whole other thread but 3 teeth at front have composite bonding on and 1 tooth is crowned to match them.

Your teeth look incredible. Wow. Only the front 4 were treated?

I’m thinking you should start that thread...

Monkeytapper · 31/08/2020 08:20

@GhostCurry yes, just the front 4...only £99 per tooth, crown more expensive but had the old one for about 20 years so this should last me. The composite bonding should last a few years and my teeth underneath are unaffected like they would be with veneers.

GhostCurry · 31/08/2020 20:17

They look great, we’re the unbounded teeth whitened?

blisstwins · 31/08/2020 20:41

Your teeth are AMAZING

Monkeytapper · 01/09/2020 06:46

@GhostCurry....no they weren’t whitened, Dentist just used the airflow procedure on them.

Monkeytapper · 01/09/2020 06:53

@GhostCurry.....May as well show you what my teeth were like a few years ago......I had fixed braces on, here’s what they used to be like!......It sounds as though I am really high maintenance...I’m not!...don’t get my nails done, only have my hair cut maybe 3 times a year, but I was so self conscious of my teeth growing up so had them sorted in my late 30’s. And regarding the semi perm makeup, I started with my brows as mine fell out a few years ago when I was ill and never grew back and then when I saw what other work the semi perm artist could do I saved up to get my eyeliner and lips done.

Sorry @sitckmansladylove, I’ve hijacked your thread x

GhostCurry · 01/09/2020 19:16

Monkey, you be as high (or low) maintenance as you want to be! Good for you, going for what you want. Like I said, you look great.

What is airflow? I want my teeth to be as white as yours ...

Monkeytapper · 01/09/2020 20:29

@GhostCurry...the dental hygienist does the air flow, about £25 a session. I have it done every 6 months with my dental check up..

‘Airflow therapy is a hygiene treatment that removes persistent stains on your teeth, plaque and discolouration using a combination of water, compressed air and fine powder particles.‘

GhostCurry · 01/09/2020 20:38

Thank you!
