Nail Polish for brittle nails

My nails are fairly strong except at the corners of some nails, but in the past if I have worn nail polish for as little as 24-48 hours it has destroyed the nail bed.

I have ended up with my nails covered in whitish marks that seem to have eaten into the nail bed and my nails just become brittle and fall apart once they grow.

I had resigned myself to not being able to wear polish but I just thought I’d ask if anyone knows of a super gentle polish that won’t do this damage please?

I bought some OPI Nail Envy, think the colour is bubble bath. It’s a pale pink. Like you, nail varnish wrecks my nails but this is a strengthening treatment. I’ve been using it for about six weeks without any problems. I’m not sure how many colours it comes in, I just wanted something quite neutral

I use OPI nail envy as a base coat. I've found cuticle oil very good as a long term strengthening treatment too.

Have you tried IBX? It’s a repair and strengthening system for the nails which can be used alone or under gel nails

You might also want to look into adjusting your diet/taking supplements. My mum swears that jelly babies are good for her nails (gelatine apparently)...

Sounds like dehydration, use cuticle oil at least once a day.

I use opi nail envy like a pp. I use it under my base coat though. It may sound like a hassle but having nail envy , base coat , 2 coats of colour then a top coat really protects your nails.
