Tell me about Levi 501s

These were THE jeans growing up in the 90s but we could never afford them. Now they are being talked about again and I’m interested. How do they fit and how do you style them?

I remember them well and I couldn’t afford them either! 😁. I now own a vintage pair and find they are great for my vintage shaped rear, which is to say flattering for a curvy person with a smaller waist, bigger hips.

Oh and I style with slightly shorter fitted tops because they are a wider jeans shape and I’m not tall. I wear a lot of DMs or Converse so it’s possible I look like a 90s throwback, but more contemporary suggestions will be along shortly, I’m sure.

I live in’t north so we have some good vintage shops hereabouts: if you are anywhere near Manchester or Leeds, worth a hunt. Otherwise, try eBay?
