Dry itchy scalp

Can anyone recommend a treatment for dry scalp? There is some itch, not that much and most of the dry patches are at the border of my face and scalp, not visible on my face though.

I have been using T-Gel shampoo for a few weeks but it hasn't helped.

Probably not much help but I can tell you what I've tried that hasn't worked!
Phillip Kingsley itchy scalp shampoo (made my hair greasy)
Head & Shoulders
Vosene
T Gel

Currently trying La Roche Posay Kerium, seems ok but only used it once so far.

The Body Shop Ginger shampoo works well for me. I find TGel too harsh. I also have a scalp brush which helps too.

@500BusStops I have been reading reviews of various shampoos and was thinking of ordering Philip Kingsley but it's pretty expensive so having my doubts. I have very dry hair also so maybe it wouldn't make mine greasy? Bit risky though!

@ZaraW. I have read some good things about the Body Shop ginger shampoo so I might try that as it's not all that expensive. I think you're right about the T-Gel, I think the itchiness around the border of my scalp has actually gotten worse!

I also like body shop ginger shampoo

NanTheWiser · 21/08/2020 17:53

Another Body shop ginger shampoo fan here too! It really does work.

Nizoral
Child's Farm one for eczema
Tgel
Ginger

On rotation! My hair (generally hairline, above ears and right on top of my head) will flair up after more than a month of any of them and calms right back down again when I change. The Denman round scalp brush helps too. I use it in the shower.

Looks like I have to give the Body Shop ginger a go!

@bighairallyear I've never heard of that but will look it up now,

Thanks all!

Try a scalp brush too. I got mine from Muji.

ZaraW · 21/08/2020 19:03

They do travel sizes of the Ginger shampoo for about £2.

hastingsmua1 · 21/08/2020 19:06

The red alpecin shampoo helped me. I no longer use it but my scalp has remained normal

Teal99 · 21/08/2020 19:27

Nizoral. Use every couple of days, leave on for 3-5 minutes. Do for two weeks then go onto one a week after that.
