Styling really thick hair

Can anyone recommend any easy up-do’s for super thick hair? My mid length hair is too thick to wear down without using straighteners at maximum heat first. I usually just put it up in a pony tail out of the way, but would love to do something else once in a while. Any suggestions? Thanks 😊

I have super thick, corse curly/frizzy hair. When not in a variety of buns, it's often Dutch plaited on the side (start with a deep side Parting and plaint around the frame of face), or 2 Dutch plaits with a centre part, but then the plait ends clipped up to create an up do, or a crown braid.
I also do twists into low ponies, or braid into low ponies. High buns, low buns with centre parts.
