Box Dye-silver/grey

Has anyone put a silver grey box dye On dirty blonde hair? How did it come out? For various reasons going to a salon isn an option so it’s a box or nothing. Just wondering if it will work if my hair isn’t bleached?

It has terrible reviews on Boots.com

I tried it on bleached hair that still had some yellow in it. It turned a dingy green......

However I did get a better result with a pewter grey one from Superdrug although when this started to fade it also took on a greenish hue. It did hold better in the hair though and didn't damage it.

Bleach London dye toner is amazing if you want to go grey!

So glad I asked as my hair is a combination of mousey and yellow!! There are remnants of bleach at the ends but my natural blonde is very yellow rather than ashy. I’ll try the toner, thanks guys.

Bleach london also do a shampoo and conditioner that deposits a bit of colour, i use the smokey grey on my beigeish grey hair and it gives it a nice lift to smoke colour, if i stop using it it goes back to normal so better than using a dye for me. They do other colours too.
