Satorial advice on socks

On the back of the “what are we looking forward to wearing in Autumn”, I am in need of some satorial advice concerning socks. More specifically, what socks to wear with ankle length trousers. Ideally I want knee high so there’s no danger of flashing hairy skin unnecessarily. Not sure how brave I am feeling with respect to patterns

I have some Falke ones but I am not particularly impressed by them - they didn’t wash particularly well.

I like Bam socks.

I can never get knee socks to stay up. Fat legs

In my defence it’s early for spelling

Maybe I need sock suspenders?

You can get school knee socks in adult sizes from most places now as loads of academy secondary schools have knee socks as their uniform. M&S have cable knit grey and navy ones.
