Cream before foundation

Eve all- please can anyone advise a cream/ moisturiser to apply before foundation?

Charlotte Tilbury magic cream- pricey but a little goes a long way and it gives you a nice glow.

It made my foundation pill on top.

I tend to just use my regular moisturiser but my skin isn’t particularly dry or problematic at the moment.

Moisturiser or primer?

I use frezyderm primer because it's actually a. SPF 50 which is also a primer rather than a primer with SPF.

Anything with lots of -cones (silicone in other words) will make what goes on top pill if you apply it too soon.
