Face wash for teenage boys

Anyone recommend a decent face wash for teenage boys? My son has just turned 13 and is starting to get spots and oily skin but doesn't use a face wash currently at all.

Clear start by dermalogica. You can buy it from John Lewis, Amazon or salons

@Techway it only can be used a face wash can't it? Confused We threw our large bottle of it away as it left a weird film as if we'd never even washed our faces with it. I think it really does help some skin types just not ours.

My DC have also used very successfully Neutrogena clear and defend face wash (in the orange bottle) which worked well for them but they both prefer Clearasil.

A lot of derms are paid a decent chunk of change to recommend Cetaphil. It was a bit of a scandal as I remember.

CeraVe is a good shout. I’d go for their SA smoothing cleanser as salicylic acid helps keep pores clear.

I might be sensitive about the subject but it irks me when the diet and lots of water advice gets trotted out. Yes sometimes it can help but most acne is not caused by diet and dehydration. Doesn’t matter how many leafy green vegetables I ate, my acne took prescription strength medication and a dermatologist to shift.

Making sure things stay clean helps too. Clean flannel every day, clean pillowcase every few days, antibac the phone screen if he spends time with it to his ear etc.

Dermalogica Clear Start is good and my son also likes Gruum Kori face wash (as do I!) but we've finally accepted that nothing really helps with his acne. He's now on Epiduo which I hope will prevent the scarring I've been left with over the years.

For a teenager he's always maintained a good diet, lots of water and a skincare routine but unfortunately the acne has never cleared completely.

Sam Farmer stuff. Also gave a Carbon Theory bar somewhere in my stash for him to use if he starts to get bad break out, it's good stuff.
