Best faux leather biker jacket?

Does anyone have any recommendations. I already have one but feel it's just a bit too long. If it was 2 inches shorter it would be perfect. Ive had a look online and just can't find what im after.

I have this problem too / I had a lovely one from Zara that I bought years ago but they neck peeled. It was buttery soft and fitted perfectly. It looked so much like real leather.

All of the biker jackets now look like pu and are quite boxy?

I will continue my quest and let you know.

Watching! Would also like to know.

I had one from River Island years ago that looked really nice. I then bought a real leather one from All Saints but grew out of it after having babies 😭. Nothing will ever match an All Saints one but they cost hundreds.

Hoping someone will come up with a good suggestion on here!!

I would love an All Saints one but im trying to reduce the amount of leather I buy.

I agree though that the faux ones look almost plastic these days. The one i have is actually from Primark. I got it years ago but they've never had anything as nice. Plus ideally id like to buy online.

I've got a lovely be from M and S via eBay. It's sturdy and doesn't feel plastic like at all.

Can I recommend buying a second hand one? There are plenty on eBay for good prices , they're hardly worn and it saves more clothing going to landfill! My M and S jacket was only £15 and it had the label still attached when it arrived. I've had really nice ones from Oasis in the past so it might be worth a search for those too.

I have one from Top Shop that looks and feels just like leather. It’s a couple of years old now though. I recommend going to the shops to look rather than buying online. The jacket I bought was the best I saw but had a fur collar. However, it was detachable, so I could remove it.

Frankiemintz · 16/08/2020 11:34

Just had a look on the Top Shop website, and all the faux leather jackets look very shiny and fake now....

Id be happy to get from ebay etc but there's none i like. Id rather buy from a person but they all seem to be from stores where i know the quality will be rubbish.

I’ve got 2 from M&S and I love them!

Bloodylovecheese · 16/08/2020 12:32

Sainsbury's Tu do a few and they're really good!

IloveJudgeJudy · 16/08/2020 12:33

I third M&S. I also got DD one from Tesco which is a bit edgier. These were both a couple/few years ago

Plump82 · 16/08/2020 12:37

Ill pop into tesco next week and see what they have. I looked at the ones from Tu and they seemed a similar length to the one i already have.
M&S seem to be coming out well. They have a sale on at the moment as well i think.

All Saints leathers are actually on offer quite often lately and are really down in price when they are - still over £100 but good deals for them if you're not too fussy about style/colours etc.
I've had a couple of decent faux ones from primark over the years and tk maxx sometimes have decent ones.

Hey, I’m vegan so don’t wear leather and I would recommend investing in a good quality vegan leather jacket. The ones you’d get from supermarkets and cheaper high street shops are likely to look plastic-y, not last so well and also may well be made of materials which are not great for the environment. (Which for me would defeat the point).

A classic pleather jacket can be a great investment and I’d recommend the brand Dauntless. I have a black jacket from here and it looks and feels super soft and wears really well.

dauntless-clothing.com/product-category/jackets

It is based in the US but there are shops in Europe that stock it - such as Treen shoptreen.com/collections/dauntless and there may be others.

Wills Vegan Shoes do great quality vegan leather products - including a couple of jackets: wills-vegan-shoes.com/women-s-vegan-shoes.html

Immaculate Vegan is a marketplace with lots of brands, which can be a great starting place for looking at leather alternatives. immaculatevegan.com/

I have one from firetrap which is nice. It's old and I got it on eBay, so I don't know if you can still get them, but worth a look. Sainsbury's TU sometimes have fake leather jackets which aren't bad.
