Need to buy a backpack: help me choose one

Wise Mnetters, I have to buy a backpack. I think it would make my life so much easier than the bag I'm using atm.

I've found 2 different ones, but cannot decide. One is from Kipling, www.kipling.com/uk-en/shop-now/archive-c10845/city-pack-s-55e2cb-k1563554n00-999.html, I'd buy the grey version.

One is from Fiorelli, www.fiorelli.com/cora-black-weave-backpacks.html?gclid=CjwKCAjwj975BRBUEiwA4whRB0uZJ3rmU9merU3zLcgz_reQLBTrGHP2yVcjVoAoKkiywW-RlWLZ7xoCcE8QAvD_BwE.

The second one looks fashionable, but the first looks comfortable. Not sure which one to go for. Ideally, I'd like it to last and be good quality.

i have a different kipling backpack and think its great, its comfy and you can get a lot in it - check amazon for prices as sometimes they are a lot cheaper than kipling website

ComeOnBabyPopMyBubble · 15/08/2020 16:57

I find both quite small.
The second on is pretty, but doesn't look very comfy or functional. Depending what you put in it it looks like it will all get mingled together and you'd spend ages rifling through it to find a specific item, especially if small.

I use one for work and I do find it more practical and comfier than a hand bag , but I'm looking for a different one now with more pockets/compartments, particularly quite a bigish outside pocket.

Sorry I probably wasn't clear.. I'd pick the first one.Grin

Lovely kin ones in John Lewis

ElspethFlashman · 15/08/2020 17:17

Go into TK Maxx, they have a ton of backpacks at the moment and definitely some Kipling ones.

But they also have Knomo ones, which are FAB as they're from a travel luggage range and have shitloads of pockets and storage.

Was seriously trying to justify one the other day but couldn't! Grin

Second the poster who said go to TK Maxx, they have lots of backpacks in in varying designs. I've just recently bought two!

@ComeOnBabyPopMyBubble they are a bit small, but I'm very very short, anything bigger I will look like a school kid. 🙊

There's a John Lewis one that I love but can't justify at £110 and another affordable one but even on the model it looks huge and bulky.

I definitely need a rainproof one as I walk to and from work, school run etc.
