Hi all! My trusty ghds have finally given up on me after 12 years...

Can't afford another pair atm so can anyone recommend any cheaper ones that still good a job?

Budget up to around £50.

(I bought an £11 pair in primark which are ok if I'm just smoothing my hair to tie it up but obviously not great quality!).

Hair is thick, natural wave and just above shoulders!

Thank you!

I have a lot of very thick and coarse hair and my GHDs died a while ago when I just couldn't justify the cost of another set. So I bought these ones from Argos as a stopgap and turns out they're absolutely brilliant and I'm not planning on buying GHDs any time soon! They also do a regular size plate which I'd say is just as good.

Kipozi wide plates are £39ish and better than my ghd iv.

I have Coriolis straighteners, which are ones my hairdresser uses and recommends. I also have thick curly hair, below my shoulders, and they work brilliantly!

I’ve had mine about 3 years and think they were about £70. You can get them from places like Sally Salon.
