Could this look good?? is it workable? Would I need a perm?

Can you try waving it with ghds to get that kind of effect now?

Hairthrowaway · 14/08/2020 22:51

I don’t see why it couldn’t look good. That hair is generally easy to style however the model has had her hair professionally styled into waves rather than that being her natural texture.

You wouldn’t need a perm, you’d need a curling iron or hair straighteners (to add the waves in)

BlueSlice · 14/08/2020 22:52

That isn’t a perm, that’s partly their natural hair and partly been achieved by curling.

You can start curling what you have now easily. It will be shorter but still be something different while you’re growing it.

Hairthrowaway · 14/08/2020 22:53

By easy to maintain I mean that length is quick to dry/style. Styling the waves daily could get tedious though. I don’t know what your natural texture is like as the first photo looks straight.

Slightly old photo, but hair at the back is curling up. I leave for work at 6.15am so don't want to fuss with it. Just wash and go hence the perm, give it a scrunch and leave

I've recently had my hair cut into a lob (long bob) and I love it. It wouldn't take long for you to grow your hair from your current length into Lob length.

My hair is wavy but I usually blast it with the hairdryer and put a curl creme on it, then do a few curls with the Nicky Clarke Diamond curling wand. I then re-do the curls most mornings until I wash it again. The curling part takes me maybe 10 minutes at the most.
