Can we talk bras and support?

Does anyone have any recommendations for larger sized brassieres that provide A LOT of support and decent shape? Specific models would be appreciated too, as styles differ wildly even within the same brands.

I thought you ladies might be the ones to ask. I've been living in high impact sports bras over lockdown, as ordinary ones are not firm enough, and bras hurt. But I need to find something that looks smarter/ gives a better silhouette.

After two children and my poor chest inflating and deflating twice (by over 4 sizes), I am struggling to find bras that provide enough support and shape. I'm a little larger in the chest - and all over, TBH - than before having children (38/40DD) and struggling to find a solution. Help! Please!

First check Boob or Bust calculator, as you might simply need a different size.
If you need more support, I would go for moulded cups, better than stretchy lace. Freya Idol or Fantasie Rebecca could work. I also really like longline bras, Freya Retro Bloom type.

Yes to the boob or bust calculator-I don’t adhere strictly to it but it is shocking how much more support you get if you use that method.

I would put money on you not being a 38/40DD. I suspect you are more likely to be a 36G or something like that. Try Boob or bust as everyone is suggesting

The support is in the band so unless your ribs measure 38-40 inches then that's your first problem.

Size first, then try and work out what style you need.
