And if so, please tell me which one I need and how to use it? Smile

I don't think it will help much but it will help if that makes sense. I mean it won't be a massive difference, but better than doing nothing

goes for coat

Botox is your best bet.

Nat6999 · 13/08/2020 23:46

I've been using it for 8 weeks now, my skin feels firmer & tiny lines have gone. I also use No7 resurfacing paste 3 times a week & then use the retinol, let it soak in & apply night cream. I buy the No7 retinol, all the skin care is on offer 3 for 2 at the moment. I also use the glycolic acid peel kit twice a week as well.

I know, but I don’t think I’m at that stage yet.. worry about the long term effects of injecting things! 🙈

I have this exact same issue. I hate it.
But after catching Covid and having the most terrifying health scare of my life, no way am i risking injecting a toxin into me. I wish there was a more natural solution. I might try Frownies OP, have you looked into them?

violetbunny · 14/08/2020 06:22

Agree botox is your best option. It's actually better to do it earlier if you can, because it will help prevent the wrinkles forming as quickly. There have been twin studies where one twin had Botox as a preventative for years, the other did not, it definitely makes a difference over time.

Fletchings · 14/08/2020 08:04

I have been using A313 (from Amazon) for s good year. I had pretty noticeable 11s. I saw family and friends this summer after a long Covid break and was asked if I had Botox. they are not gone but much less noticeable. took a good year though. I am mid 40s.

OhRosalind · 14/08/2020 09:12

I’be used Frownies hollieberrie and I think they help, though obviously they don’t work miracles. My forehead is smoother in the morning when I use them so I’m pretty sure I scowl in my sleep without them.

Bloomburger · 14/08/2020 09:13

Botox.

Long term effects no furrow and no wrinkles in the long term.

VivaMiltonKeynes · 14/08/2020 09:25

Botox every 6 months approx 180 a pop. Go for a good doctor. It will only get worse.

beepbeepsheep · 14/08/2020 09:32

Retinol has reversed my frown lines. I use it a few times a week. Longer term I'm thinking Botox or a fringe.

Shabooma · 15/08/2020 13:14

Thanks all, I have ordered the A313 cream from Amazon @Fletchings because it was less faff than signing up for a prescription (and a bit cheaper!).

I know ultimately Botox is the only thing that will completely fix it but I am wary about the long term effects of injecting substances, call me a wuss if you like!

I will investigate Frownies too! Shame you can’t wear them all day long Grin

If you want a retinol you are best getting a prescription for tretinoin etc from Dermatica (or something similar)
Most retinol creams and serums don't contain that much of the active ingredient and in any case retinol is a long term thing and you won't see a difference for a few months.
Collagen supplements might plump out the 11s a bit.
Nadine Baggott has a great video on the different retinol products available and why some of them aren't really worth bothering with.

I bought frownies because I frown in my sleep also. But then I discovered smoothies and no longer look like a tit in bed. You just have to remember to peel the smoothie off before taking the dog out for a walk first thing!
