Straight hair that has natural kink

My hair is driving me mad. It's very fine & straight ,in a long Bob. Half an hour after blow-drying & straightening it flips up & out at at the ends like a manic 50's housewive roller set style . Any tips to get it to stay straight & slightly curled under? Restraghtening it lasts another half hour if that.

You need a better cut. A good cut and you should be able to wash it, stick a comb through it and it will behave.

Bobs, long or otherwise need a very good cut.

I have hair with kinks but it isn't wavy, and today I have big hair because of the humidity.

I have the same hair. It's shit.

I second good cuts. I am having mine done on Saturday with a new hairdresser and am a bit worried.....

Depends on the length, if it's sits in your collar it will flip out. Mines this length at the minute but I know once it gets longer then it won't do it

It's an inch above collar bone as it looks thicker that length. Longer & it looks limp & lank. The best it ever looked was when it was a permed long wavy bob: I washed it once a week & left it,no styling & it looked amazing,just soft waves.

I was going to say do you curl it under because if I curl mine under it flips out. If I just straighten it flat I don't have the problem.

I have the same type of hair. When mine was in a shorter bob it never stuck out. I've been growing it for some time now and as it gets longer it has less of a tendency to kink out as the weight of the hair keeps it straighter. Worst length for me is just around the shoulders.

I'm going to let it go back to just below collar bone as that helps. Maybe heated rollers are worth a try for volume . Not curling it under makes the flip outward happen quicker tbh.

Mine does this but around the nape and side of the neck because I have an awkward hairline that grows out. My hairdresser does an undercut, not a shaved one but just a bit shorter underneath so the hair on top curls under it.
Re your long wavy bob I’ve just bought the Dyson airwrap partly for this. My hair is still on growing out of pixie cut stage but I can dry and wave my daughters hair very quickly with mine so I’m feeling positive.
