Just seen a poster saying not to wear anything mumsy . As I am 57, 5'2" and a size 14 anything I wear is mumsy . Has anyone bought anything recently that is not in this bracket.

They’ll also take you to 5’5” as a bonus.

I genuinely think that it's almost all in how you wear/style things. I'm wearing a plain yellow cotton t shirt today from Whistles and it's a length and cut that would look very mumsy if I wore it untucked with a knee length skirt for example or a pair of black trousers. I'm wearing it tucked into blue denim mid-thigh shorts, with white leather trainers and I have gold hoop earrings. I don't think I look mumsy.

I look incredibly mumsy in anything from Fat Face or White Stuff or anything with a ditsy flower print. I do like a Breton top but those Breton tops from Joules with big flowers on - I couldn't make that look stylish.

I like those. Are they comfortable?

Totally agree with @evilharpy - I find tucking things in and wearing shorter lengths helps. Nothing mid calf works for me. I also wear a lot of black/grey/dark blue which I don't think ever looks particularly mumsy. I've just bought a sleeveless black linen dress from Next which could look mumsy probably if I'd bought it in one of the brighter colours but I wear it with converse and lots of jewellery and think it looks ok.
