For those of you using Korean Italy cloths...

Do you shed the same amount of skin every week?

I came across the cloths on Mumsnet a few weeks ago and was amazed at the amount of skin that came off and how smooth my skin felt.

I'm not a big exfoliator but regularly used the sauna/steam room prior to lockdown so thought this was just the skin that had built up due to neglect!

But...the same amount of skin is coming off every week. Is this normal?

I expected it to become a maintenance job rather than feeling like a shedding snake each week!

I'm wondering if I should be using it more often, or if that could potentially damage my skin?

Just me then? 😭

Never heard of it. Is it for your face or body?

Body

Here's the recent thread which I think made Amazon sell out!

Actually that's a follow up thread... maybe I should have asked my question on there!

I use my salux cloths daily and the skin still comes off as much but what’s underneath is much smoother.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 14/08/2020 19:18

Different parts of my body -

legs not much
ams (mainly upper arms) , bum cheeks and the small of my back - loads

I'm not a fan of the boring hot plain water soak otherwise I'd do it more often

toomanyplants · 14/08/2020 19:25

I've had mine a few weeks and I'm still shedding. Fully expect to just be a skeleton by Christmas.

damnthatanxiety · 14/08/2020 19:57

Feeling so left out. I get NOTHING shedding. I soak, I scrub and nada

Same. Sad

Phew! So glad to hear I'm not the only one!

I might try upping it to a couple of times a week then. My skin does feel so much softer afterwards.

This!!!

I just don't know where it all keeps coming from. Dread to think where it's all been going over these last few months Blush

I love these. Make such a difference, but I have fairly though skin I think. Not easily damaged or dried.

Kidneybingo · 14/08/2020 20:29

Tough skin.

Don't suppose I could lose a couple of stone this way?

I'm surprised no-one is touting it as a weight loss tool yet. No more ridiculous than cling film wraps or those sauna bags that claim to burn a million calories an hour...

I'm not getting loads off. I exfoliate in the bath anyway so it's replacing my usual one. The only places I get the obvious coming off are my shoulders and back of my hands. My liver spots are disappearing from my hand.

FlyingLoo · 14/08/2020 21:15

I use once a week and have done for more years than I can remember. There is a little difference sometimes but yes, it’s basically the same amount.
