Face Injectables!

Does anyone have facial injectables? Do you find them effective? I had tear trough filler yesterday and subcision for pitted acne scarring. Really really pleased with the subcision as it looks improved already, the tear trough fillers are ok, I had 0.5 ml of restylene in each trough, but my under eyes are super hollow, so although there is some lifting, brightness and reduction in the depressions, they are still not perfect.

I’m booked in with the Dr in 8 weeks for a top up, so that will hopefully improve the results further. It’s not the most pleasant of feelings, but I’m pleased with how they’re progressing so far.

I've had fillers in my cheeks a few times and think I liked them but it was quite subtle. I'm thinking about tear trough fillers and the nurse I usually go to for Botox and fillers said they usually take a couple of weeks after treatment to look their best. Would love to know how your tear trough fillers look after two weeks.

Ive experiences the tear trough fillers myself and the bruising was very noticeable.
In the end I had the tear trough fillers dissolved as I went from hollowness to actual eye bags! Also made my eyes look a lot smaller.

On my last appointment I was told tear trough was what I needed but instead we settled on cheek filler I’m the middle of the cheeks and Botox around the eyes and between the eyes. I’m very happy with it and zero bruising, there is still a hollowness but since the rest of my face is now uplifted it seems much less of a thing.

I’ll post some before and afters in 2 weeks. They feel a little sore still, but I’m more happier with them now it’s settled a bit.

Yeah, I think there can be a tendency to overfill in that area, it’s reassuring to know though that they can be dissolved if needed.

I will probably need another half a mil in each trough when I go back in October.

The subcision for my acne scars has been brilliant, they insert a needle to break the tethering from the scar, so my face isn’t as dented when I smile now.

My next thing will probably be profhilo.

I really want tear throughs done but haven't got around to them yet as the clinic I want them done at is full til November 🥺

Elsewhere however, tomorrow I'm doing profilo and my 11s.

I’ve had it done along with some filler on my upper cheek and it looked great. It’s just so expensive though!

I want to get some in my nasal folds (if they're the ones between nose & lips!) I'm going to book in once the initial crazy "back open" period ends!

Great you are happy with results, can I ask where you got the subsicion done?

MarriedtoDaveGrohl · 25/10/2020 19:43

Tear trough fillers are great but get them done by a very experienced practitioner. I had mine done by Dr Taipan Patel years ago and they held up well. He used a cannula.

The reason they have done well though is also because I had fat injections which were great because they improved my skin too. So they are only filling the hollies where some of the fat has gone (as it does). Again not one for an inexperienced doctor.
