After some great advice and recommendations on here I’ve been using the ordinary 0.2% in squalane 3 nights a week and the Vit C the other 4 nights. Been using them now for at least a couple of months. I def feel like my skin is more taught and smooth feeling but haven’t noticed a difference in the pigmentation/acne scars as yet but know it can take a while.
I haven’t had any redness or irritation from the retinol and I’m wondering if I should have?! Am I just lucky or am I not using one that’s strong enough or should I up the one I have to 4 nights?

You shouldn’t have any redness if you build up slowly.

I’m using 0.2%,when it runs out I’ll buy 0.5% then 0.1% after that.

Up to you if you use it 4 nights or not.

It took a year for me to rid of a sun damaged/ brown spot about the size of a 5 pence on my cheek, using the vit c every morning and retinol two to three times a week and then 5 times, also useing Alfha H liquid gold, two night, I did start on the ordinary but got the strong real stuff from spain it's called retirides, if you Google it, it will tell you it's the only thing that really works. I would get some of that if you can, after a year or so of useing the The Ordinary so your skin is ready for it, but you must start slowly two to three times a week.

I found the regular brands didn’t do anything for me. When I started with Tretinoin that’s when the fun peeling started Grin

Interesting, thanks. I used Retin A a lot when I was younger with acne so I wondered if that had maybe toughened me up or something lol!
