Strawberry Midi Dress

Has anyone got the Lirika Matoshi strawberry midi dress? I think it's so beautiful but I really don't know if it's worth $490.

I don't think it is worth that at all, sorry. I don't think it's very nice and I don't just mean not to my taste - it looks really cheap to me, even on the model, sorry.

Might not be to everyone’s tastes OP, but I think it’s beautiful!!!! I am a little obsessed with Molly Goddard too, who has a similar approach to tulle/netting!! Some of her dresses are on sale on net-a-porter now.

If I could wear that and look amazingly quirky and chic I’d happily spend that on it.

In reality I’d look like a twat, as would 99% of the population.

My dd 14 has been going mad about this dress!

I mean...the bo beep sort of style I get. I'm sitting wearing a puff sleeve, floaty cotton number myself, as we speak! But the neckline and the fabric just looks really poor quality and cheaply put together to me.

500 quid and it’s made from nylon!

It says polyamide, PVC and something else. Famously luxurious fabrics then .

Should be silk chiffon at that price!

If you can afford it, I'm all for the occasional big splurge on something you love. I think the dress is very distinctive and everyone will know you have worn it to afternoon tea, then to the wedding, then the races, christening, etc etc. I think it will also date quickly.

I like the style, not so much the print and I’d want nicer fabrics to be honest. Chiffon would have been an excellent choice.

IMO it is hideous. It looks like something Barbara in the good life made out of some net curtains. Awful. And it's all synthetic? It'll be sweaty and horrible to wear.

Cripes I think most people would look ridiculous in that dress. Love the bo-peep comment . And I don't think it would have much longevity, but hey, I've been wrong before and each to their own.

For $490 I would have expected something better than polyamide. And something I could wear more than twice. My budget could not justify.

Don't stand near any naked flames in that dress or the whole thing will go up in a second.

If it were made of silk, I'd love it. But polyamide? For 500 bucks? Nah.

Its very pretty but its in a cheap fabric.

It looks like something teenage Japanese girls wear accompanied with pig tails while giggling behind their hands.

Kim-Joy from Bake Off is what that dress says to me. I kind of like it but it would look terrible on me.

I have seen this on tik tok. It is beautiful but I really think it wouldn't suit everyone. I know I'd look ridiculous in it but anyone I've seen wearing it in photos looks unreal in it. Try it. If you love it, go for it. Can you return it if it doesn't suit??

Definitely too pricey, But I used to wear a dress or two in that style,to go out dancing in the 1950's era, ballroom dancing with nice young men ha ha. My late grandmother was a whiz seamstress,and made a lot of my dresses and skirts.
