Anyone dye their own eyelashes?

Going on holiday in a few weeks and I’d normally get this done at the salon. But restrictions mean that’s not looking possible at the moment. I’ve toyed with doing it myself but am a bit scared.

Can anyone recommend a brand or any techniques that mean I don’t end up going blind??

Yes, it's super easy to do yourself. Caroline Barnes has a really simple tutorial on YouTube for it. I use refectocil, a professional brand, you have to buy colour (I use black blue as it has much more depth than black) and developer separately but instructions are pretty clear.

Just put something emollient on the skin around eyes and use a mascara spoolie to apply, don't aim for mascara finish just plonk it on so that you're sure everything is covered.

*a clean unused spoolie, in case that isn't clear, you can use an old one if you clean it thoroughly.

Yep, did mine last night.

Agree with the previous poster, refectocil is far better than the kits you get from Boots etc. I use paper guards under my eyes, rather than just product.

Other than that, just whack it on and chill out with a podcast for 20 minutes.

Third vote for Refectocil, I got a kit on ebay. It’s super easy.

I also did mine last night. I use Strictly Professional which I buy in Sally’s - blue/black on lashes, brown on brows. I put Vaseline round my eyes, and also use a slim paintbrush type brush to get right to the roots (like putting on liquid eyeliner), as well as a spoolie to whack it on.

Yes, it's really easy, I actually managed to do a full lash lift and tint on mine. I am cack handed so if I can do it anyone can!

Amazing, thanks everyone. You've given me the confidence to give it a go. Ordered the Refectocil - exciting!
