Please can you recommend a good shampoo that doesn't cost £££££?!

Have been using Pantene shampoo and conditioner (for coloured hair) for years. But my hair seems to be getting drier, and my hairdresser commented that it wasn't in as good condition as she would have expected, having had 5 months of lockdown!

She doesn't like Pantene, because it uses silicone, which builds up on the hair. But up until now I haven't really noticed any problems.

At the salon, they sell (and she recommended) Kerastase Discipline for my hair - it is prone to frizz. I happily bought some, before realising just how expensive it is! God knows how much I paid at the salon, because my receipt (cut, blow dry, full head highlights + products) wasn't itemised. All I can say is that it was a fuck of a lot of money.

On Amazon, the shampoo and conditioner, as a bundle, is £34 , which I simply do not want to have to pay again.

Are there any hairdressers out there, or other experts, who can point me in the direction of something that will work with my hair better than the Pantene, but won't cost me so much?

Thank you.

They also sell Tigi in B&M. The big bottles are £6-8 and they have quite a few products too.

A started a thread recently about how awful my hair was.

I purchased a dyson hairdryer and the tigi bed head red shampoo and conditioner and what a huge difference, my hair is silky smooth with little damage visible.

This has been after only four days!

I also got them in home bargains for £7 each so really cheap compared to some of the other hair shampoos recommended.

I have had several people comment on my hair and that never happens 😀

I second OGX. The coconut milk shampoo and conditioner are really, really good for my hair (fine, thick and long). I switched to it from Kerastase (Bain Satin) a couple of years ago and find it just as good for a fraction of the price. It's sulfate free, and my hairdresser always comments on how good the condition of my hair is (she thinks I still use Kerastase and I haven't the heart to disabuse her!).

It's always on a two-for-£10 deal somewhere too.

I rate the Faith in Nature Grapefruit which I bought from Amazon. I've only stopped using it temporarily as I was given a huge amount of alfaparf so I'm getting through it. It's pretty good too but I googled it and it's about 10stg per bottle for a fairly small bottle where FIN was about 7 total for shampoo and conditioner online.
My hair is very fine and I wash it every day also.

@Teal99 it was the elasticate one. I looked back and I ordered it 1 May and I've just finished it (my heavy-handed DD was also using it for the last month).

Hask is really good, £7 but often 1/3 off and in most big shops now.

I have been using Schwarzkopf 'gliss' it's the best Shampoo and conditioner I've ever used and they sell it for a pound In Poundland . I've used so many more expensive ones but this has honestly transformed my dry hair! X

Another vote for Tigi Bedhead. I use the Colour Goddess one (gold bottle). It smalls amazing.

OGX is brilliant it's £7 in Tesco but I found it at £3.50 on Amazon 😯. I have awful, thick frizzy hair and used to spend a fortune on shampoo and conditioner from my stylist. OGX has different types depending on your hair and no sulphates.
