Hunter wellies

I have been gifted some lovely Hunter wellies but am struggling to get them on although once my foot is in they are ok. I don't have particularly tight calves but they seem tight. Has anyone else had this issue and have any recommendations for stretching them slightly? Thanks

Yes!

I love my hunter wellies but they seem to create a vacuum around the ankle and are impossible to get off. My ankles are not that chunky but I do have a high instep which I think exacerbates the problem. Getting them on I just have to point my foot exactly down. I don’t think there’s a way of stretching them but mine usually get a bit of “give”after a few weeks

The most uncomfortable wellies I have ever ever worn and I bought a size up from my usual 4 because 4 was so tight ( often I am a 3) Total waste of money I thought I would have them for years but after 6 months of agony gave to charity shop

Le Chameau with full length zips are the best by far and easy to get on and off
