Prescription glasses - petite size frames

Has anyone found an opticians that has a good selection of petite-size frames for adults?

My existing pair are from Asda but my prescription has changed, and they don’t have anything new that suits me in petite sizes. I used to get my glasses from Boots but I don’t fancy paying upward of £280-300 anymore. The Specsavers range is aimed at teenagers judging by their website, with the descriptions describing the funky colours and how studious and cool you will look in the classroom to the weekend in the park

Normal glasses are just huge on my face, with the area around the hinges sticking out massively.

I got my teen sized ones from an independent opticians. They had a way better selection than Specsavers where the only ones that fitted me were green or pink or other bright colours.

Could you choose kids glasses?

I have the opposite problem. Huge head. Unfortunately, only specsavers seems to cater for it and my various other spectacle needs. I've settled for 135mm arms far too often and always regretted them.

I got my teen size ones from Specsavers. They are metallic brown, I really like them definitely not 'cool' or 'funky'. Adult frames are way to wide for my face so I have a limited choice too.

Gosh, yes OP, I've had this trouble for years. My last pair were green children's specs. Bought in desperation. Hoping for some good advice here also.

i bought my last pair from glasses direct due to lockdown but usually buy from specsavers

mister spex is brilliant and you can try on the spectacles online.

Same problem here ... I’m so small that adult glasses 👓 look ridiculous and most kids are “ baby or very young kids “ colours / styles ...
However got some great ones in Boots just before lockdown.
Were not expensive at all and look great !

I know Specsavers have petite frames my daughter has got several pairs from there in including prescription sunglasses.

She has a teeny tiny head and has to wear a children's riding hat complete with a cartoon ponies lining, so they are definitely a true petite fit. They were very reasonable too, about £90 for two pairs.

Glasses direct, filter for size of frame, try on at home and I can always find a voucher code. I've been using a boots prescription for varifocals filled by them for about three years now so they do a good job with more complex rx (I need new ones every year).

I had the same problem, it took me forever to find frames that fitted my face. I got mine from vision express in the end, they only had a few petite styles but had one that I liked but I had been to about five different opticians before I found any that didn’t look ridiculous on me, unfortunately massive thick frames seem to be all the rage at the minute.

I go to an independent. When I’d narrowed it down to some ray bans (lots of size choice) they ordered some different colourways in for me to try.

Always use an independent opticians. They can order in smaller frames .

I'm not sure if they still make them but Ghost and Oasis glasses used to size up quite small. Some Raybans do too. Might be worth a hunt online.

YYY to Oasis specs! But I'd perhaps go back to Asda and see what brands they have in as they were all pretty small (mine came from there although unbranded) then look online for other stockists perhaps

I'm the same but have managed to get glasses that fit from the Asda range.

I get mine from Vision Express in childrens sizes
Just had a new eye test, but hated the frames they had ,so used my old frames, as they are very light,i hate the heavy coloured ones
