Middle aged moment

Tell me about that moment you suddenly realised you had to accept middle age gracefully.

Mine happened today.

Found my first grey pubic hair.

Yy to patchy/grey pubes, thinning hair (my thick mane was always literally my crowning glory - now, particularly under some lights, I look like I've got a combover), hairs sprouting where hairs didn't before, sagging jowls/neck...

It's really hit me though in the last six months or so. My family on both sides have really shit teeth - my father had a full denture by the time he was 45. I've always gone to the dentist religiously for my six-monthly s&p and am so fastidious about my dental hygiene but I still managed to lose two teeth by the time I was 35. In the last six months I've lost three more in quick succession and lots of the ones that's are left don't look too promising. I haven't had a s&p since September (it was cancelled because of covid in March) and my gums are really inflamed so I'm not hopeful for the ones I have left. I'm 47 and don't feel middle aged, but I feel like I look it.
