I tried the ordinary ages ago but didnt like it. Now I have my skin looking good and have a decent routine, I want to reintroduce it. Any recommendations for an oily skinned/ fair, 30 year old women?

Murad youth renewal resurgence overnight cream
The serum.is too much for my sensitive skin but the cream is good

I am similar complexion to you and used a Paulas Choice one for a good few months. I didn’t think it was doing much but since NOT using it I’ve noticed many more fine lines, so maybe it was.

vixxo · 30/07/2020 21:52

I quite like Medik8.

maradesbois · 31/07/2020 10:38

I’ve just started Niod NAAP (non acid acid precursor) which apparently works in same way as retinol. Too early to tell but the reviews (very positive) say to bear with it when it seems like it isn’t doing anything at first.

Have heard that the gold standard is Skinceuticals but have tried one of their products before and didn’t get on with it and also £££

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 31/07/2020 10:42

I was using the redermic R cream from La Roche Posay which was nice and fairly gentle, but I’ve recently started using one from Medik8 which I also really like. Medik8 also have lots of different strengths and formulations, mine is the standard retinol 0.3, but there are all different types (some pretty pricey though!)

Wildwood6 · 31/07/2020 12:48

I know you tried The Ordinary, but have you tried their more recent one that is combined with Squaline? They make it in three strengths, and I much prefer it to the first one they brought out.

mnahmnah · 31/07/2020 12:59

I really like The Inkey List retinol.

FindingNeverland1 · 31/07/2020 13:30

I am 30. I should probably start using. Is it preventative?

Nooch · 31/07/2020 13:45

Tretinoin 0.5 currently Retirides but don't really have a preference which brand.

doadeer · 31/07/2020 13:53

I like Medik8 I think it's number 3 I use.

babyinthacorner · 31/07/2020 14:10

Skin and me (prescription)

DameDoom · 31/07/2020 15:07

I use Differin via an online pharmacy prescription.

Clumsyduck · 31/07/2020 15:08

Tretinoin - dermatica

Solaran · 31/07/2020 15:17

Dermatica for sure.

MabelMoo23 · 31/07/2020 16:03

Medik8 3 here

NegativeNina · 31/07/2020 16:51

Medik8, built up from 3 to 6, alternate with Dermatica.
It's taken 6 months but I can now see results.

timetest · 31/07/2020 17:39

Tretinoin. Beauty products don’t really compare.

lindyloo57 · 31/07/2020 17:46

Same as time test the only one that's proven to work

DameCelia · 31/07/2020 17:49

Tretinoin, on prescription from dermatica. Retinol is an ester of retinoic acid and unlikely to have much effect.

tinkerbellla · 31/07/2020 17:57

Murad

Newnamedillydally · 31/07/2020 18:18

Using medik 8, 3 intense really liking it.

Happyface120 · 31/07/2020 18:22

Another vote for tretinoin from Dermatica, 0.05% with niacinimide. Such good value for a prescription tretinoin, and so much more effective than anything you can buy from a beauty brand.

MadamShazam · 31/07/2020 19:09

I'm really noticing a difference using Aldi's Retinol toner. And a bargain for £3.99.

MrBennsshop · 31/07/2020 19:11

I buy tretinoin online from a Spanish pharmacy. It's incredible stuff
