Should I leave the colour? Or get it dyed?

I booked myself in for a colour next week but am now wondering if it's the right move. I asked for baylage but my hair I don't think is dark enough so I thought highlights but I don't know if that is a good idea either as the colour is quite light on the top and darker underneath. It is supposed to be a dark blonde but has some copper tones to it.

Would you leave it and hope it looks better with a good cut?

Have you got to go in for a patch test? Maybe phone ahead and ask if the colourist can spare a couple of minutes to talk to you

I am going in tomorrow but it is just one stylist that rents the room and I am a bit worried that I will end up with a colour that I don't need because she will want to make the extra money or that I will feel guilty for her making less. I have never been here before as my usual salon closed.

What were you planning to take the roots / top darker
