Can anyone PLEASE help me identify these Topshop jeans?

Back story: I bought these grey Topshop jeans on eBay about a year ago, on a whim. Turns out they are my perfect jeans. I've never had a pair like them. Worn them to death, they're like a second skin and go with everything.

This morning, to my abject horror, I discovered they've developed a small hole in the crotch which is rapidly expanding. I need to find and buy another pair but the label was not in them when I bought them so I don't know what 'name' they go by.

They're mid rise skinny, very slightly distressed. Quite soft denim.

They're not Jamie (not heavy enough denim), not Joni (not high enough rise in the waist), not Leigh (not soft enough).

They might possibly be Baxter?? However I've not had a pair of those so can't be certain.

Honestly I'd be so grateful if anyone has any suggestions so I can try and find another pair.

They do sound like Baxter... I've got a grey pair I don't wear anymore but unfortunately a W28.

ohkevin · 28/07/2020 14:27

Ah, thank you. I'll keep searching.

I've done a bit more googling and now think they might actually be Leigh...

Still very open to any other suggestions though!

I think they describe the fit of each Jean with its name on the Topshop website if that helps.

On the back of that label is there a series of numbers/letters that could be a product code that you could as Topshop Customer Services about?

Bobbybobbins · 28/07/2020 15:46

I have quite a few pairs of Baxter and find the denim quite thick so might not be them.

mellowgreenspring · 28/07/2020 15:47

They look like my Baxter petites, and I went through a phase of hunting them down on eBay.

ViciousJackdaw · 29/07/2020 01:24

Leigh are usually a blend of cotton, polyester and elastane so check the composition of your pair.

Hairthrowaway · 29/07/2020 01:40

I used to work for TOPSHOP, I think they’re a pair of Leigh jeans. You can confirm by typing the product number into google. If you take a photo if the other side of that label, I’ll do it

Those jeans are old (I can tell by the label!). I reckon they feel softer as they’ve been through many wash cycles and have stretched out

Hairthrowaway · 29/07/2020 01:44

*of

Also don’t think they’re baxter as this style rarely comes in petite, when it does it’s usually just plain black or a generic denim shade. Leigh would have more unique colours like yours in petite

Thank you so much, here is the reverse of the label. I have tried Googling the numbers but no joy.

Thanks again for all the replies, I do appreciate your help Grin

They could be Leigh or Baxter although Topshop sometimes did jeans outside of their core styles if that makes sense.

lockdownsunflowers · 29/07/2020 10:48

They are a high percentage cotton. I vote Leigh. They will have softened over time I imagine.

Hairthrowaway · 29/07/2020 10:48

Unfortunate the jeans are so old that they’re no longer archived online.

Think you should just order either style and keep what suits you best. As it’s been so long since these were released, you may find that the fit has slightly changed in newer pairs anyway

Hairthrowaway · 29/07/2020 10:52

Unfortunately**

What do you mean by:
Joni (not high enough rise in the waist)?

As Joni are supposed to be v high waisted (like Jamie), and you’re after mid rise.

Have you checked the eBay listing in your purchase history for clues?

I meant that the grey jeans in my post are not high rise enough to be Jonis. I have about a billion pairs of Jonis and as my shape has changed after two kids I most definitely do need mid rise, hence my search for the grey ones!

Thank you for your help, I've ordered some Leigh off eBay and fingers crossed I'll hit the jackpot. Grin

Would they be orson?

Heygirlheyboy · 29/07/2020 14:43

Leighs no longer available if they are them, they are very soft, unfortunately. They were my HG Sad

ohkevin · 29/07/2020 14:56

@Heygirlheyboy They still sell Leighs on the website!

Really? I must look! Thank you.

Would they be orson?
Good shout but I believe Orson are a more slim cut; these are most definitely skinnies.

They look like Leighs. Baxter jeans are low rise.

MoverOfPaper · 29/07/2020 15:51

Didn’t Baxter’s go through a couple of incarnations? I’m pretty sure my 2008 pairs were more mid than low rise. They did them in long length back then too.

LaGoulueRevenue · 29/07/2020 16:07

I think they're Jamie jeans. That wash does soften up with wear and machine washing and I don't think they're particularly high rise, either despite being marketed as such.

ShortAndSharp · 29/07/2020 16:23

I think they're Baxters too. My last few pairs of Baxter jeans were definitely not low rise, but would probably sit in the mid-high waisted category. The closest I've found fit wise is the M&S Ivy jeans. Not identical, but pretty close.

MaryBerrysChutney · 29/07/2020 16:25

The label says it’s top shop moto. You don’t think that’s the one??
