Best beauty gadgets?

I was wondering if you could recommend your best beauty gadgets that make you feel better and/or life easier!

I'm currently tempted to buy a NuFace mini toning device but am not sure if it's just a gimmick and waste of money!

I'd love to hear what you all find works well.

Thank you 😊

Crazy I have the NuFace and honestly I wouldn't bother with it. I have noticed absolutely no difference whatsoever. It's pretty expensive too. I got a little gadget from Amazon...I can't do links but it is a MiSMON Facial Massager 5 in1 device and I really like it. It is only £49 and despite early days I can see a difference (unless my eyes are deceiving me).

coffeewithmilk · 24/07/2020 16:24

I've recently purchased the Revlon one step hair dryer and volumiser.
It is a game changer - looks like I've had a blow dry done at the hairdressers. Dries my hair completely in around 7 minutes and it has a lovely bouncy smooth finish to it. Definitely cuts down time in the mornings!

Also not really a gadget but I like the e45 moisture mist - can spray over the whole body and it deeply moisturises without the thick sticky heaviness of a cream - particularly good for throwing on after a shower and putting clothes on straight after

IHeartSusanDey · 24/07/2020 16:28

I have the Revlon dryer too and you're absolutely right Coffee...it makes hair feel so bouncy and swishy! I think it's far better than the Big Hair.

Zhampagne · 24/07/2020 16:32

Dyson Airwrap. I love it.

Bananaman123 · 24/07/2020 16:40

magnitone amazing for gentle cleanse and battery lasts forever (but the brush version is rubbish

Bananaman123 · 24/07/2020 16:41

Not really a gadget but thiis is a game changer for a quick shave, especially for hols

Fluffycloudland77 · 24/07/2020 18:15

Led face mask. You can ones that you can wear while watching tv but mines heavy so I have to lie down to use it 😉 for half an hour.

EvelynBeatrice · 24/07/2020 18:26

Fluffycloudland, please can I ask what led mask you recommend? I pinched my daughter’s Neutrogena acne led mask a year or so ago and I had fantastic results. Pores disappeared, wrinkles minimised, under eye dark circles gone etc. However the neutrogena one was withdrawn last year due to fears about effect on peripheral vision and I haven’t bought any replacement yet. I’m a bit worried about eyesight to be honest. I keep looking at options online .....

Fluffycloudland77 · 24/07/2020 18:41

I’ve got a beauty star one off amazon. I had the neutrogena one too.

EvelynBeatrice · 24/07/2020 18:58

Thanks Fluffy. I’ll have a look.

Was thinking maybe of trying a US FDA approved one in hope would be ‘eye safe’. Seems to be mixed data.

Philips Lumea for me. Life changing. I mean it

emma6776 · 24/07/2020 19:39

A foreo toothbrush - all other electric toothbrushes have battered my sensitive gums.

IndiaPlace · 24/07/2020 23:27

Lumea, in 2 treatments much of my leg and underarm hair hasn't grown back - I've not shaved for a week since the last treatment. And bonus I can cuddle into my DP now with his virtually hair free backGrinShock

louisethedisease · 24/07/2020 23:30

Dr Dennis gross led mask

crazymscurls · 25/07/2020 18:57

@IHeartSusanDey

Thanks for the reply! I'll check it out, feel much happier spending £50 on something that might not work than £100+

I'll look up the lumea, I've had some laser hair removal in the past and it was great but due to life I didn't quite finish the course, this might be good to have on hand

Iheart i had one similiar to this, but the metal irritated me so had to return it, have you had any problems likewise,
Also how high is the vibration, the one i had was too much, not gentle
The reviews on this one seem very good
I also agree about the nu face, not worth the money, thats why loads on ebay i expect

princessTiasmum · 27/07/2020 10:36

Oh meant to ask is it any good on the neck and jowls? tightening
TIA

IHeartSusanDey · 27/07/2020 17:38

Princess there are five different levels to it so you can choose the right one for you. I have noticed that when I spray on a little water or a hydration mist it is definitely stronger. I've been using it on my neck and I see a little difference but early days. It is in my skin that I really notice the big change...it is so much brighter and clearer. I don't even wear foundation now yet it kind of looks like I do, IYKWIM.

I used to have the Rio a couple of years ago but it was way too strong...it hurt my fillings in my teeth. Have had no issues with this one so far.

ChequerBoard · 27/07/2020 20:33

@louisethedisease can you tell me what results you have seen from the Dr Dennis Gross LED mask? Really tempted to buy and like his product line so hopeful it's a good product but it's a lot to spend so want to be sure.

cactuscushion · 27/07/2020 20:40

Also Foreo but their face wash things. I have the middle size one and use it daily. My face is baby soft after. It needs charging maybe twice a year and it's superb. I got mine off amazon.

louisethedisease · 27/07/2020 20:46

His products are amazing especially the alpha beta peel pads. The led mask I’ve been using for around 8 weeks ish. Since using I have not had a single spot on my face and I normally get hormonal acne. My skin has totally cleared up and my pores are reduced. I’ll definitely keep using it every night, it’s only 3 minutes a night which I wanted as a pose to the 30 minute ones.

VerbenaGirl · 28/07/2020 20:09

Another massive vote for Lumea. Stubble is well and truly a thing of the past!

princessTiasmum · 02/08/2020 23:15

Iheart i have now got this device, but what do i use it with? some kind of gel or just something like moisturiser
I does vibrate and wasn't keen on the last one i tried that vibrated, and was allergic to the metal bits, i hope not with this, but looks very similiar

SlightlyJaded · 02/08/2020 23:25

Also tempted to get an LED mask. This might be useful.
