I have thick, wavy hair, loads of it. Lack of access to a hairdresser has left it in a terrible state, taily and not great condition.
I'm contemplating getting it cut quite a bit shorter, maybe just below chin length. Have had this length on and off over the years but...I detest the feel of hair that is longer at the front and shorter at the back. And my experience of hairdressers these days is that if the word bob is uttered, they always cut it shorter at the back. How do I explain that I want something that is more or less the same length the whole way round? What do I ask for? They just don't seem to get it. And once they have chopped the back, the only way I could get them to even it up would be to get the front shorter and then it would be too short all over. I know they need to shape it so that it doesn't sit in a big thick triangle, and that's fine, but I just want it roughly the same length.
