Dd wants to dye her hair-advice please

She's a natural redhead and wants some kind of purple colour. I've never dyed mine so am clueless. Any advice please? Her hair is very thick and wavy.

Depending on what kind of purple shade it may need bleaching first

Arctic Fox worked ok on my strawberry hair. There are techniques to intensify the colour/longevity I believe.

You could try Colourista from L'Oréal. It washes out after a few weeks. You can get it from superdrug/ boots. They do a lovely purple colour. Very kind to the hair. Just a tube you apply.
You'd need a cool tubes if the hair is long and thick.
For a permanent colour you will need to have a lighter base colour to get good coverage.

Been at hair coloring for 20+ years.

1. bleach. Start at the bottom, and bleach the roots last! The heat generated by the scalp activates the bleach faster.
2. make sure the bleaching is thorough. not orange, not patchy.
3. if possible i liked to leave a few days between bleaching and coloring, but it's a personal thing.
