very culturally specific look which would be perfectly at home in an Italian nuptial mass, where even the smaller parish churches are very ornate with lots of marble and gilding. It would look ridiculous in 90% of churches in the UK.
Since when does a wedding dress have to match the church? 
My first thought was "well, if she is saving herself for her new husband she might be disappointed on her wedding night" 
I absolutely hate "sexy" wedding dresses but there is a limit to the "chaste" look where it descends rapidly into frumpiness and this dress is in that category.
