I,m not the 'thread police' I just find it strange that women seem so quick and able to be so rude/nasty etc about another woman.

I thought S&B was somewhere women could be pleasant and helpful to each other, but hey, you just crack on!

Seriously, are we in The Emporer's New Clothes now? Are we supposed to celebrate or pretend we haven't noticed that not only celebrities, but people who we mix with daily are having shit injected into their faces and looking inhuman? Whhat is happening to the human race!? We have trump and Johnson two misogynysts running the western world. You are asking us to be nice about the fact that at least three generations of women and now many men too, hate their natural appearance so much that they have injections and get cut up in order to achieve an aesthetic that doesn't look like anybody real? This is not something we should ignore or praise or be nice about. Kate Moss is an icon, because of the way she looks. Now she doesn't look like Kate anymore, she could just as well be a no-makeup Katie price in these pics. You tell me she looks happy. Ffs. I'm not going to pretend that this is OK to appease this level of mass self hatred.

She looks like she has put weight on tbh. I did think cheek fillers and then looked at the full length picture.

She had a very distinctive look, she wasn't a generic pretty girl. Age wasn't diminishing her "look" but surgery/too many fillers will. Given that she's spent her career being photoshopped (like all models), lines and blemishes wouldn't have stopped her getting jobs, but losing her uniqueness might.

I think some of the points about personal comments are fair enough but I'm a bit as to how we can discuss cosmetic procedures without um... talking about how they make people look.

And I don't see why Style and Beauty should just be for pleasant chat. I believe there is a place for difficult conversations too.

The anti ageing industry is very invested in persuading us that this is all just a bit of light maintenance to help us look our best selves. Sometimes it takes a photo to cut through all the crap.

We all change when we age. The best thing is to accept our ageing selves. I have realised this at 52. You cant stop getting old but you can make the best of it.

I feel sad when people have surgery/botox. Its like they cant accept it. Yet we have no issues accepting our looks change from when we are little to teenage to twenties.

Totally agree. If we aren't allowed to talk about how weird these procedures make women look, they will become more and more normalised -the way lip fillers have in young women.

And Kate Moss has made millions from the fact that women are interested in how she looks.

I love KM and wanted to see her as a beautiful older woman, now she just doesn't look like KM, apart from the hair.

@famousforthewrongreasons - actually I agree with every word you say, you are far more erudite than I am, I feel very strongly that we now have a culture which is very harmful to women, an unobatainable goal to look ever younger/wealthy/slimmer/cooler etc. I just fail to see how being snide/unpleasent about other women helps. it justs sits wrong with me.

Should have saved money on the fillers and got that eye fixed first. It's the only thing I've noticed from the first time I ever saw a photo of her.
