She looks really different to me - or maybe I'm imagining it.

@thebabessavedme

nice to see the sisterhood being so supportive Hmm
Ah good, the thread police are here.
Perro · 22/07/2020 09:12

She looks completely different, her eyes and cheeks remind me of Caprice.

Such a shame that celebrity women feel the need to turn themselves into identikit mannequins.

Branleuse · 22/07/2020 09:16

looks like cheek fillers to me

thebabessavedme · 22/07/2020 09:37

I,m not the 'thread police' I just find it strange that women seem so quick and able to be so rude/nasty etc about another woman.

I thought S&B was somewhere women could be pleasant and helpful to each other, but hey, you just crack on!

Shimy · 22/07/2020 09:44

I’m not entirely sure that is Kate Moss but if it is, I’d say she’s definitely put on weight.

LaureBerthaud · 22/07/2020 09:45

Anyone who 'looks good for their age' or 'is ageing well' nowadays has had work done

Not true. Also, why do you have to qualify it with "for their age"? At what age does a woman stop just looking attractive?

It wasn't intended to be - and for the most part isn't - a mean spirited thread. I'm genuinely surprised at the change in KM's appearance.

@Floisme

I think we have sanitised cosmetic procedures to such a degree, with talk of 'tweaking' and 'freshening up', that we forget that these are invasive and sometimes brutal procedures, and of course there will a come a point when you start to look different.

I have sympathy for any woman ageing in the public eye but I think it's disingenuous to say we shouldn't talk about this.

As usual, Flo puts it better than me.

Well she always struck me as someone who gave precisely zero fucks what anyone thought of her, so I doubt she's bothered by what a load of random women on the internet think about her. And if she does, she can always cry herself to sleep on the huge pile of money that her looks made her!

Quarantimespringclean · 22/07/2020 11:26

I’m in the minority here as I think she just looks like an older (and equally beautiful) version of her younger self. She doesn’t look as soft and fresh as she was but that’s part of the ageing process, particularly as she is a drinking, smoking sun worshipper!

She might have had some botox or skin peels as she is remarkably unwrinkled considering her lifestyle but that’s not ‘work‘,as such, just maintenance.

lilgreen · 22/07/2020 11:28

Not sure Kate was thinking about the ‘sisterhood’ when she used her wealth (out of reach to most) to try to reverse normal ageing but hey ho.

Iwalkinmyclothing · 22/07/2020 11:39

Good for her; some people’s looks are worth preserving. People who can’t appreciate beauty in others are simply jealous - and you will reveal your facial ugliness with your nasty comments

Yes, because your implication that other people's looks are not worth preserving is a kind, generous and pleasant one Hmm

Bluntness100 · 22/07/2020 11:43

Honestly. I think she’s just aged and put on some weight and is make up free, likely she’s had some Botox but that’s about all.

I suspect all made up she’d look closer to what folks are used to seeing recently. She’s clearly not going to look twenty again,

ArriettyJones · 22/07/2020 12:17

@BrexitBingoGenerator

Christ, I'm glad I'm not Kate Moss. Poor woman can't even cross the road or ride on her bike without Mumsnet users castigating her for looking old/young/fat/eastendersy.
This.

I’m also feeling a bit sorry for Julia Stiles, as she’s apparently being used as a comparator of disparagement. Bizarre.

emma6776 · 22/07/2020 12:25

I don’t think she looks that much different? I feel like I must be looking at different photos to everyone else? She just looks a bit fuller around the face - but don’t we all after lockdown?

thisenglishlife · 22/07/2020 12:30

Hasn't Kate been sober for a few years now and eating more healthily? A fuller face could be due to weight gain and that helps reduce the appearance of lines too.

Alsohuman · 22/07/2020 12:34

She’s really messed her face up. I wonder if she’s happy with it because I sure as hell wouldn’t be. It’s so sad because she was so pretty and now she’s almost unrecognisable.

I baffled by all the claims that she's unrecognisable- really? You really wouldn't see her and think,'oh, Kate Moss'? Anyone would think she's swapped heads with someone the way this thread goes on 😂

Therollockingrogue · 22/07/2020 13:05

Can we see a pic of you @patsypie ?
Bit mean your comment !

QualityFeet · 22/07/2020 13:10

I felt a bit sad seeing her recently. She has something special looks wise and was looking great as she ages but then I don’t find wrinkles ugly. Now she simply doesn’t look like herself - I hope she is happy with it.

Alsohuman · 22/07/2020 13:11

You really wouldn't see her and think,'oh, Kate Moss'?

No. I honestly didn’t recognise her. She’s lost that lovely feline look she used to have.

NeedToKnow101 · 22/07/2020 13:34

Same. I wouldn't have recognised her either.

Delatron · 22/07/2020 13:56

I think it all started a few years ago when the rag that is the Daily Mail seemed to go on some kind of crusade against her. This is before she gave up booze. They printed loads of photos where she looked her worse, bad angles, highlighted her lines (which most women in their 40s have). But she she did have fine lines and wrinkles. No bad thing! I really thought she would resist any work as she tends not to give a crap what anyone thinks!

She looked a bit ‘fresher’ a year or so ago. I think at that point it was lasers and a touch of Botox but nothing more.

Now it does look like she’s had fillers. She looks good but I think you can tell. And she looks a bit different. They may settle though. She may have just had them done. I think she’s fab whatever. The press have a lot to answer for though.

DateLoaf · 22/07/2020 14:25

I agree.
