I paint my own toenails but can you tell when someone has done their own or got them professionally done? I never know how good or bad mine look to others!

Pay attention to cuticles and dry skin. Try gel polish if you fancy and make sure you cap the end of the nail but otherwise I wouldn’t say you can tell, some professionals don’t do as nice a job as a home job if you put in a lot of care and effort imo

How do you cap the end of the nail? Is that wish the colour polish and the top coat??

Yes just carefully take it along the edge of the nail with colour and top coat that’s all you need to do Smile

I get a regular pedicure as I find it hard to bend down to cut my toe nails. I do not see any difference between my painting or the lovely lady who does mine. She removes so much more dry skin from my feet than I can.

I'm a flexible person but find my hand isn't steady enough to do a really sharp job with toenail polish. If I can't get a pedicure I let my nails go bare. It's better than having painted cuticles and raggedy edges. But maybe others have steadier hands and can do DIY
