What do you wear to work?

90% office based, small family run company in the construction industry. What would you wear? Starting a new job. Currently one other middle aged lady plus boss in the office, other lady wears jeans/trainers/jumpers. Boss wears jeans/boots/casual shirts (think work men) type attire. Would be in the office most of the time but once/twice a week going to building sites for meetings. Don't think heals and skirt going to be appropriate but also don't want to go with jeans and trainers. any suggestion?

Vague recollection of having to get dressed to go to work....

I wear relaxed knee length linen dresses and flat shoes in summer. Similar wool dresses and chunky leather boots in winter.

Currently pjs lol.

I work on site too and have to do walkrounds in my work boots. I usually go with work trousers but they're more leggings style but very thick. www.newlook.com/uk/womens/clothing/trousers/black-zip-front-stretch-slim-leg-trousers/p/606409901?extcam=UK_PPC_PLA_Google_DV_m&_cclid=Google_CjwKCAjwgdX4BRB_EiwAg8O8HQwfW1DxUKVmZkNVrUp_BmTg1eBHAtbqT97q5qNaUeFDx1jSlcnOFBoCuuMQAvD_BwE&gclid=CjwKCAjwgdX4BRB_EiwAg8O8HQwfW1DxUKVmZkNVrUp_BmTg1eBHAtbqT97q5qNaUeFDx1jSlcnOFBoCuuMQAvD_BwE

These ones, as I hate traditional "work trousers" I'm short and they remind me of school trousers so go with these instead. And then a nice ish top most of them were from oasis before it shut down. But to be honest I usually have to wear my giant hi-vis jacket over it so you don't see my top. Otherwise I just wear normal black boots to the office and not my work boots.

I'm 27 so I don't know if that makes a difference.

If you will be going on site, you need something that will not look too outlandish with wellies and nothing so tight that you can't walk properly over uneven ground.
I wear black skinny jeans, black top and black converse. Depending on meetings/visits etc., I will do something with my hair or stick on a pair of heeled boots.

I work on an industrial site. I have to have safety boots on a lot of the time so I wear trousers which don't look silly with them. Nice top, warm cardi. Sometimes tights and dress because my safety boots are DMs so they don't look so naff. A nice wind- and waterproof coat too because my site is coastal. Generally my stuff is from Next, Sainsbury's and Uniqlo. Never wear heels.

Thick leggings or skinny trousers under a tunic or long shirt, then ballet flats or low boots. This is what I lived in with my last job which had quite a casual dress code. Comfy and practical but can still look quite smart.

Skinny black jeans with chelsea boots and a nice top/shirt is my go-to (mostly office-based engineering)
