Can anyone recommend a good product to help get rid of blackheads?!

I have a few on my nose and I want them gone 😂

Biore blackhead strips.

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/07/2020 14:06

Are you sure their not sebaceous filaments?.

Loubylou03 · 19/07/2020 14:55

@Fluffycloudland77 what are those? I've never heard of them before.

Like small brownish dots all over the nose.

Loubylou03 · 19/07/2020 19:13

@Fluffycloudland77 I've just googled it and they do look more like this!

Do you know any products or any way to help get rid of them or make them a little less noticeable!?

I think Paula’s choice do a bha liquid exfoliant in a black bottle that people here say helps but I’ve not tried it yet

Absolutely the best product by a mile is Paulas choice bha 2%. Got rid of mine and my daughters. Definitely check it out.

Loubylou03 · 19/07/2020 20:10

@Fluffycloudland77 @louisethedisease thank you so much! I'll order some and see how I get on with it 😊

Anything with salicylic acid. Nip and Fab do a 2% concentrate or a wash/pads.

optimisticpessimist01 · 19/07/2020 20:35

Blackhead strips can cause those red little veins to appear on the nose. Use Paula's Choice BHA 2%. You can get a travel size for £10 to sample, its a tiny bottle but put it straight onto your hand and pat onto the face and it'll last a good month at least

Alloverthegrapevine · 19/07/2020 20:39

Clean and Clear cleanser is like a miracle for actual blackheads. It says on the bottle that it works in 24 hours and I nearly didn't buy it because of the "ridiculous" claim but it did.

Since I hit 40 I don't get blackheads anymore but sebaceous filaments and I haven't found anything to shift them.

CherryBakewell85 · 19/07/2020 21:39

I’ve tried Paula’s choice and I do think it helped a bit but tbh morning has ever made much of a difference.

Acnecide is the only thing that helps in my experience (me & 15 yo DS) It’s an over the counter gel/creme so it’s pharmaceutical strength, I don’t know if it actually gets rid of them all properly or just bleaches the head so they’re less noticeable Blush but it works!
