How to keep beachy waves from dropping

I'm doing my own hair (with help from my sister) for my wedding next week.
Ive decided oh beachy waves with bits from the side twisted back.
I've got a good curling wand and it gives the desired look but they only last about 3 hours. This is on freshly washed hair though.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to keep them lasting a little longer?
Ill be washing my hair the night before. Ive got a decent mousse and ill get a good hairspray. Should i buy anything else? /

Sea salt spray will be your friend for this and hair spray!
My hair is just too ‘soft’ to keep waves in but this seems to happen, my hair is also better the day after washing to curl

Do you put the sea salt spray on wet hair?

Tong, hold the heated curl scrunched up in your hand until cool, release.

Do a section (I split my hair into three) and once all cooled I run my fingers through the curls to loosen. Then I spray hairspray. Salt spray would work too.

Repeat for all sections.

Et voilà!

I had this problem and I find spraying my hair with dry shampoo before curling works really well and holds the curl for longer.

I use salt spray on damp/very nearly dry hair

I've got a deep barrel waver by Toni and Guy which is brilliant. Waves stay all day, just fall out at first sign of water!
