I know nothing is a miracle cure and nothing short of Botox will get rid of my lines but are there any products that have really improved your skin?

It's an oldie but a goodie .....

Lots of water and a highly nutritious diet! Plus maybe add some powdered grass fed collagen into a smoothie (no fruit so not high in sugar) daily.

Also I got my eyebrows tattooed and it's life's my face massively. Nobody can quite put their finger on it, people think I've had 'work done'. It has a remarkable effect t on making you look fresher, younger and more vibrant. Takes the focus off other areas.

'Lifted' even!

Peterbishopssarcasticsmile · 19/07/2020 07:25

Thank you! What kind of smoothie do you make?

Retinol, a vitamin c serum and daily sunscreen have all made a difference to my skin, plus keeping it plump with moisturizers that contain hyaluronic acid.

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/07/2020 07:45

Yup, retinol, vit c in your sunblock (I use the ordinary powder mixed into mine) & the ordinary Argireline.

Try an led mask too on the red light setting.

Retin-a! A bona fide miracle. Not one for mid summer though (you need to be strict with the sunblock). Read up about it and then buy the Thai one in ebay - it's the real McCoy. Buy the lowest strength and use every third night after washing and letting your face dry for at least 20 mins. Use a tiny amount!

Every dermatologist will tell you this is the one. The only clinically proven anti aging skin cream in the world.

Those who use sunscreen every day... do you put it on before are after moisturiser? And same with vitamin c cream?

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/07/2020 18:55

Moisturiser first, then sunblock. I use vit c powder so I mix it in with my sunblock.

ILoveTotoro · 19/07/2020 18:57

Agree with getting your eyebrows tattooed on

Botox helps too :D

Microneedling (I do mine at home) and also facial rollers

I have also found the olay retinol night cream good

excelledyourself · 19/07/2020 18:58

Thanks @Fluffycloudland77

ILoveTotoro · 19/07/2020 18:58

And yes to sunblock I have worn daily since late 20s (I am now 40) and I do think my skin has aged better than people i know of similar age ( i dont mean to sound horrible )

Vodkacranberryplease · 19/07/2020 18:59

I use a mineral sunblock rec by a derm. It goes on after everything else except makeup. I don't use a moisturiser, but used to use a vit c the derm recommended (skinceauticsls - SO expensive).

Viletta · 19/07/2020 21:49

Retinol

HealingCalmingSoothing · 20/07/2020 06:13

@Peterbishopssarcasticsmile Re smoothies, I mix it up as variety is so good for you but always base of cold green tea and / or fortified almond milk.

Then spirilina, collagen, yeast flakes, chia seeds, flax seeds etc. then a different mix of (mainly above ground) veg such as spinach, artichoke hearts, carrot, celery, broccoli stalks etc.

Can also include cooled left over veg as you will gain different nutrients from the same veg but in different cooked state.

Sometime I include low GL fruit such as frozen açaí berries, wild blueberries etc.

Whiz it up and drink quickly as some of those ingredients cause it to thicken over time.

For me, anything containing Dragon's blood is a winner. Been using it for three years now and couldn't be happier.
