What do you repeat buy...that's wrong

I seem to have a thing for shacket army type jackets. I love them on others but find them really uncomfortable on me, the colour doesn't suit me and they're impractical. Why oh why do I keep buying them?!

I still find myself buying black things because I think they’ll “go with anything”. In fact I have nothing that works with black because it looks so awful in me ( sallow and middle aged).

I look good in bright colours, white and khaki green.

Last time I wore black, it was to paint the fence in because it was the only t shirt I don’t wear, Won’t stop me buying one to replace it, just in case.

I keep buying grey t shirts. Even though they make my face look grey

Linen. I've recently posted on another thread that I have a bag of failed linen experiments to go to the charity shop. Every time I think I will look effortlessly cool and casual. In reality I look like a bag of crumbled washing.

Uncomfortable shoes. Nothing nice is comfortable. I hope they will miraculously be easy to wear.

Size 10 clothes.

Dresses. I have nowhere to wear dresses and I’m a different size top and bottom. But I do love dresses.

And coats! I live somewhere hot, I didn’t wear a coat at all last winter. I love coats too.

Lacy under wired bras in various sales. No, they’re not suddenly going to be lovely and comfortable.

Leopard print faux fur coats. Every winter for the last five or so years, often more than one version. Have returned every single one. I love them on other people yet when I go to step out the house wearing one, I can't do it. It's not me.

Turtle necks. They look so cozy on other people but i feel like I'm being slowly and gently strangled.

button down shirts, either they gape at the chest, or they are too big on the shoulders...

Wrap dresses. So chic and flattering on other people. 'Here's my chest, the rest is coming' on me.

I love them! I think the fact they're not lined makes them uncomfortable for me, they sort of drag on whatever I'm wearing.

wide belts which will hold me in. they just make me look larger, but I love them.

Red lipstick. I'm desperate for it to suit me, it doesn't. No lipstick does.

Summer dresses. I'm just not that kind of person.. but they look so nice, and I always think I'll wear them on holidays. But I don't because on holidays, I'm still me.

Make up! Bought a recommended eye pallet , more expensive than many usual purchases, hoping that this time I'd see an improvement to my looks but no I just look like a clown.
Why is it so difficult?

Dh buys coats. He had 23 at one point & takes them off as soon as he’s in the car 🤨 because he’s too hot. So I say their for that difficult walk from the house to the car.

Jeans. I have a flat bum with big, thunder thighs. None of the different cuts suit me :/

High waisted trousers, I am so short they dig into my ribs?!

Anything with silicones in - although to be fair it's only about once every 10 years when I think my skin will have settled down, but nope.

Silicone based hair smoothing serum - a scalp full of cystic spots within two days.

Silicone face primer - a face full of cystic spots before the day is out.

Now I'm eyeing up the long lasting but natural looking foundations. Chock full of silicones. I've resisted so far, but that's not to say I haven't wavered a bit in Boots.

I'm loving these, so funny abc glad it's not just me!

Retinol. I so want to use it but end up with big cystic welts and big scars. When will I learn??
