Looking for decent soft loose trousers

I have short legs and I love the look of those trousers that people have been wearing for a few years now. They are sometimes called joggers but aren't technically sweatpants, are made from cotton and aren't harem pants but some are tapered.

Does anybody know what I mean and where I can get a nice pair?

Head over to Hush. The most comfortable trousers ever.

Mummydaydreams · 18/07/2020 19:27

Yoga pants/ summer trousers?

Flupibass · 18/07/2020 19:32

Next - jersey cotton. Cheap comfy and last for years

missyB1 · 18/07/2020 19:33

I’ve just had a lovely pair from new look for £15!

Hazelnutlatteplease · 18/07/2020 19:56

I have 2 black pairs of these these they are cheap and fab. They are described as harems but they are actually exactly what you describe.
I also have a pair from next (2nd hand NWT) and a pair from H&M (bought in sale year or so ago). The pair from H&M are really lovely cotton. But honestly if i was buying full price I wouldn't bother paying vast amounts, the eBay ones do the job. The Next ones would have been really ridiculously overpriced for either the picture
Or the pattern .
Have lived in all of them through lockdown. Not sure how I'm going to go back to jeans now.....

chaoticisatroll55 · 18/07/2020 19:58

Hush. I've lived in mine since March 😁

LaurieFairyCake · 18/07/2020 20:07

I can't see any on Next Confused

Just culottes

LaurieFairyCake · 18/07/2020 20:08

Nope, I'm accidentally lying - they're actually called joggers on Next

But look fuck all like joggers

Todaywewilldobetter · 18/07/2020 20:08

Tesco had them yesterday!

Hoppinggreen · 18/07/2020 20:11

A lot of people like Hush Harems but I couldn’t get in with them but I do like Hush Aimee joggers. Also Baujken Neath pants

Livedandlearned · 18/07/2020 21:41

I had a look in Tesco yesterday, they did have some nice ones but sold out in my size.

I'm going to look at Hush tomorrow and I've seen some in Next that I like.

I also don't want to wear jeans anymore, I have lived in slouchy soft clothes on my days off during lockdown.

Livedandlearned · 18/07/2020 21:43

I'll check out the Baujken ones too, I've been considering buying clothes from there for a while now, they seem to be good quality.

I have two pairs of Thought harem pants and have been living in them in lockdown. They are viscose, so not totally as breathable as some fabrics, but lovely and soft and I love the fold over waist:

Just popped back to say Millets have shown up on my FB feed advertising these trousers!

JollyGiraffe12 · 20/07/2020 15:15

Another vote for Next ‘joggers’ but do size down they run big

CatToddlerUprising · 20/07/2020 15:16

@Hazelnutlatteplease would you say they are true to size?

Hazelnutlatteplease · 20/07/2020 15:46

@CatToddlerUprising in my case yes definitely. I'm a proper large 12 small 14. The M/L is a very comfortable fit.

SerenityNowwwww · 20/07/2020 15:57

I have yoga pants that I wear around these days. Comfy and not too scruffy.

Harencha · 20/07/2020 16:04

Palazzo pants?

MilkshakeandFries · 20/07/2020 16:05

You want a pair of Gary's from Sweaty Betty. Not even joking about the name but super comfy.

Iwanttositundermyownvine · 20/07/2020 16:17

Try Uniqlo as well. Lots of sort of halfway-between-joggers-and-trousers type things.

Livedandlearned · 20/07/2020 21:36

Millets you say? Ok I'll have a look, and also I'll look at Uniqlo. I've heard so many good things about Uniqlo on these boards and never got round to buying anything from there.

I ordered a black pattered pair from Next. I actually wanted the navy patterned ones but they have sold out in all sizes.

I had a good look at wide legged trousers yesterday in a few shops. Not cropped, full length. I like them but they might look scruffy with trainers on.

@MilkshakeandFries Gary's Grin I'll check them out too
