Episode leather bag?

I’m bidding on a bag I like on eBay. The make/label is “Episode”
I’ve not heard of this brand before and can’t find it online. Does anyone know what it is? Is it a decent quality make, or cheap ?

I think they’re one of the Debenhams brands.

Episode used to be a pretty expensive brand years ago. Equivalent to Marella/ Jaeger.

I remember Episode, a little like Phase 8 if I recall correctly.

I still have some Episode things I bought in 2002 (long length suit jacket and blouse) but I think that was pre-Debenhams - definitely remember going into an Episode shop.

Episode was sold in places like John Lewis, House of Fraser etc. The quality of their handbags is usually very good, leather is normally soft, hard-wearing and well finished. I think they don't sell in the UK anymore only in Asia.

I used to run a business selling designer/top end of the high street brands and Episode was something that while never uber trendy was well made and practical. Hope this helps.
