I have been put in charge of buying a retirement present for a colleague (female). A watch has been suggested and the budget is approx £1k.
I have been looking at Longines watches. I know nothing about watches and haven't a clue whether this is a decent make. I am looking at the flagship automatic bracelet strap. I am planning on buying it from John Lewis (my employer has given a voucher contribution so it has to be from there).
The person I am buying for is 60 and stylish, she would probably prefer something classic to fashionable.
Thoughts? Any other suggestions?
