What does this mean - hairdresser

Booked in tommorw with my hairdresser, very exciting! I am booked in as the first appt of the day otherwhys I would telephone tommorow to clarify!

This evening my hairdresser emailed me a list of new salon rules due to Covid, one of which is:

" for all hair treatments please arrive with clean dry hair to lessen contact time"

I'm only going in for a cut not getting it dyed etc. My hair is quite curly and gets dry and angry if washed more than every 3 days or so. Would you read "hair treatment" as being for people coming in for highlights or dying and so on or for anyone getting their hair done?

Potentially relevant - my hairdresser is Russian and so English is not her first language, I could see her using treatment to mean both situations.

They are blow drying as normal in the salon I use.

I think on this occasion your hair will juat have to cope OP, surley as a one off it won't make too much impact?

Sorry I should have clarified that some hair salons wouldn't be drying hair. This salon may be one of them but of course i don't actually know if it is or isn't.

Iv got no opinion on it one way or another I was just pointing it out as a possible reason that's all.
@Ginkypig - there is no official advice that hairdryers shouldn't be used in salons.
I didn't say there was just I have just know a few people have mentioned they couldn't have it done and a few hairdressers mention they won't be offering it so thought that might be a reason as to why the op was sent the message.

My stylist (appointment on the 25th, roll on!) has said she'll wash and blow dry mine as normal when I have my cut & finish. I'd read the OP's email only for those having colours.

However, I always thought colour had to be applied to dirty hair so I'm confused now!

I had my hair done on Weds - they washed it but didn’t blow dry. Hairdresser said that was not to do with Covid, but because they had such a backlog of clients to catch up with, the salon owner made the decision that getting people to dry their own hair at home would be much quicker!

They’re back to normal and blow drying again from next week I think.
