Denim shorts for adults

Hi!

I’m in search of some denim shorts for throwing on to run around after DC. I don’t want any risk of my bum cheeks popping out. I don’t want them to be skintight. I don’t want them to be low rise. Sadly I’m not 20 any more.

Equally I don’t want knee length ones.

Has anyone seen any nice, loose, mid thigh, high rise denim shorts?

Yes, agree with this. My favourite denim shorts are old jeans I cut down. They'd developed holes in the knees (not in a good way) but still fitted great at the top.

I have a pair of these I bought 3 years ago and they are beautiful, fit really well, much better than similar GAP ones I also bought. I got rid of my perfect denim shorts the summer I had my DCs because I was too fat to wear them and I’d never get into them again. Of course I’ve lost the weight and I mourn them every year.

Love to replace them but can never find any that I like.

The next ones look perfect, thank you! Anyone any advice about sizing?

H&M have some food shorts. I find it's best to size up one size and use a belt, so that they're not tight on the legs.

Next Boy shorts. Without a doubt. They are true to size

Mine are Levis and I really like them - I am older and fatter than I've ever been, but these are the first shorts I've felt comfortable in for a long time.

I’ve never found good shorts and am not a fan but I’ve given in this year ready for park play season and I’m happy with the ones I got from Primark...they are paper bag style, decent length but not too long, high waisted and loose. I sized up - usually an 8/10 and got a 12 and they are good! I might even get a second pair in a different colour.

Anyone short bought the Next boy shorts? I’m about 5’3 and wondering whether to go for petite?
